Media and Literacy #5
The Pepsi commerical played during the Super Bowl this past year was created by Pepsi. This commercial uses comedy and a catchy song to pull it's watchers attention. People who are watching this commercial could understand it differently than me by not thinking it was funny or really hating the soda Pepsi to where you don't like the commercial. Lifestyles represented in this commercial were mostly people who are seen on TV or seem to have more money. Like for the people who play the role in falling asleep and then get woken up by Pepsi are TV announcers, musicians, there were girls shopping and someone at a coffee shop. So this commerical is representing people with a decent amount of money and leaves out other classes. This message is being sent in order for the Pepsi company to make money. By seeing this commerical and liking it you are more likely to buy Pepsi next time you go to the store than say Coke.
